Low-Carb & Gluten-Free Cheesy Almond Crisps

Crispy, cheesy, savory—and simply impossible to stop crunching! These low-carb and gluten-free crisps require just 20 minutes of hands-on preparation.

I have been experimenting with cheddar cheese and almond flour, and I finally achieved exactly what I wanted: a delicious, cheesy crisp! Whenever I want to treat my family to a savory snack, I can always count on this recipe. It is incredibly easy and can be served as a standalone snack, a bread substitute for dinner, or alongside creamy soups.

It takes about 10 minutes to mix the dough and another 10 minutes to shape it. Plus, they stay fresh for up to 5 days in an airtight container.

Here is everything you need to know to make them:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt

Step-by-Step Preparation

1. Preheat and Mix Preheat your oven to 380°F. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated.

Mixing the dough

2. Shape the Dough Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and form the dough into flat, cookie-like shapes. You can make any shape you like, but keeping them flat ensures they become perfectly crunchy after baking. Sprinkle a little extra shredded cheddar cheese on top of each crisp.

Shaping the crisps

3. Bake Place the baking sheet with the shaped dough into the oven and bake until golden brown (about 15 minutes).

4. Serve and Enjoy Serve them as a delicious crisp or a healthy bread substitute!
